I thought about doing a continuation of my first collage that I did in freshman year. I really liked the idea of putting different things together and make them as one. I started to think of a puzzle piece, and each piece could be a significant aspect of the puzzle that is equality.
Questioning #3:
What about women and tattoo’s? I thought of incorporating the idea of tattooing and feminism together by designing a feminist tattoo.
What if I were to get a tattoo, what would I get? How would my experience be? Record myself getting tattooed and/or morph my multiple drawn designs for my tattoo by using Illustrator and Photoshop.

Questioning #1:
What if men were the oppressed sex and not women? What if men’s chains would have been forged by women? I then came up with the idea of doing a sort of video that uses clips, gifs, and images from past history until the present that contains women in power and women embodying men’s societal roles, and vice-versa for the men.
Repulsion #3:
A little bit different than patriarchy, but I am deathly afraid of getting a tattoo. Needles are one of my biggest fears. I thought it would be cool to take pictures of myself and photoshop tattoos on my body. Also, take pictures of me as if I were getting tattooed to show the pain that goes into getting one.
Repulsion #2:
The antiquated idea that women are only useful to stay at home, give birth to children and take care of them. This inspired me to try and use photoshop and morph women’s faces from the 1950’s-1960’s into men’s bodies from the 1950’s-1960’s, as well as modern day women in modern day men’s bodies. The picture I posted is an example: I would switch the man and woman’s heads.
Repulsion #1:
The fact of patriarchy repulses me. I thought of doing a collage that embodies men doing things that go against the male stereotype and do not belong in the “man’s world.”
Fascination #3:
I even thought about doing a type of documentary/video of women here at Holy Cross. I was inspired by watching the guerrilla girls’ videos. My video would cover Holy Cross’ women’s issues and concerns on gender.
I really am interested in modern Feminism and women’s rights. I thought about doing a type of large-scale ad poster; it would advertise women’s rights regarding a past event or situation here at Holy Cross. It would imitate the guerrilla girls’ letter.
